Meet The Team


Keith Hanson


With more than 20 years of experience in financial services, Keith Hanson offers a client-centered perspective on topics such as wealth accumulation, distribution and charitable giving.

Keith is active in the community as a board member of the small business incubator Digital Sandbox as well as volunteering at several local non-profits. Keith received his undergraduate degree in 1998 and continued his education via the University of Saint Mary’s MBA program.

A resident of Overland Park, Keith and his wife have four children. Most weekends, you’ll find him at kids’ activities or pretending to still be able to run a quick 5K.


Tim Lanz


Tim Lanz co-founded Butler, Lanz & Wagler, L.C. Wealth Management in 1998 and has worked primarily in the operations side of the firm, serving as portfolio manager and chief compliance officer.

Tim attended Kansas State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degrees in International Business, Management and Marketing.

A native of Louisburg, Kansas, Tim currently resides in his hometown with his wife and their two sons.


John W. Gilliford Jr., JD

Attorney/Risk Counselor

John received his undergraduate degree in 1994 and graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 1997. John has practiced business law and estate planning for over 20 years. 

In 2014, John made a distinctive shift professionally by forming Konza Risk Advisors LC to provide clients with a resource to help them identify and manage both personal and professional risk. As a former managing partner of a law firm, John understands the challenges professionals and business owners face, both now and in the future. John brings a unique approach focused on estate planning, total risk management, which specifically includes the proper placement and coverage of various insurance products, most importantly disability, life, and malpractice/ E&O/ professional liability insurance.

John, his wife, and son are all lifelong residents of Overland Park, KS. John and his family are heavily involved in the local “autism” community as well as Special Olympics.


Kyle P Nagy, CPA

Certified Public Accountant

Kyle grew up in the Philadelphia area and finished his undergraduate training in 2006. He worked with KPMG, a major tax firm, for 3 years before founding his own business in 2008. Kyle enjoys serving individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations with accounting, bookkeeping, and tax preparation services with honesty and integrity. 

 Kyle lives in Overland Park with his wife and children and their frenchie, Chloe (yes, Chloe is in charge) 


Amy Su, MBA

Tax & Accounting Staff

Amy earned her bachelor degree in International Trade from Chung Yuan Christian University in Taiwan in 2001 and completed her MBA from Pittsburg State University in 2003. She has been with the firm for one year and her responsibilities include payroll and bookkeeping.

Amy resides in Lee’s Summit Missouri with her husband and two children. She enjoys hanging out with family and friends, reading, and traveling around the world.


Kara Vento

Administrative Assistant

Kara joined in 2015 as an Administrative Assistant.  Her duties include assembling tax returns, HOA accounting and financials, bookkeeping assistance as well as being the friendly girl behind the counter. 

Kara lives in Lee’s Summit with her husband and 4 kids and grandkid- most weekends you’ll find Kara enjoying the outdoors with her dogs – book and cold drink in her hand.


Linda Ashton

Tax & Accounting Staff

Linda has worked in Business Consulting/Management/Accounting since graduating from Washington University in St Louis with a BSBA emphasis in Accounting and Software Design. The past 16 years she has worked with small and mid-sized business owners in Lee’s Summit to better understand and manage their business. In her role she performs monthly accounting and reporting, payroll supervision and individual tax returns. 

When not at work Linda and her husband enjoy their horse farm, spending time with family and friends and also some fun pickleball.


Paul Schwartz

Certified Public Accountant

Paul earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Fort Hays State University in 1980 and then completed his MBA from The University of Kansas in 1984. He has been licensed as a CPA since 1992.  After working in various accounting positions Paul started his own accounting practice in 1989 where he serves individuals and business owners.

When Paul is away from the office he enjoys fly fishing and spending time with his wife travelling, playing golf, and gardening.
