Meet The Team

Amy grew up in the Denver metro. She completed her undergraduate degree in Business Administration and she completed a Master of Accounting at the University of Missouri at Kansas City. She obtained her CPA in 2020. Before joining the firm in 2021, Amy spent several years performing audit engagements of health care facilities.

Amy is a resident of Lee’s Summit along with her husband, children and two dogs. Amy loves cooking, river floats, and visiting family in Colorado and Indiana.

Amy earned her bachelor degree in International Trade from Chung Yuan Christian University in Taiwan in 2001 and completed her MBA from Pittsburg State University in 2003. She has been with the firm for one year and her responsibilities include payroll and bookkeeping.

Amy resides in Lee’s Summit Missouri with her husband and two children. She enjoys hanging out with family and friends, reading, and traveling around the world.

Bemenet loves helping clients and business owners! She is a dedicated and detailed-oriented accounting professional working as part of our accounting and payroll staff. In her position, she specializes in payroll as well as reconciling accounts, tracking receivables and all with a smile!

Bemenet received her undergraduate degree in Accounting in 2020 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Bemenet likes to sing, walk and organize. On the weekends, she spends time with her mom, dad, and two of her sisters. She is passionate about making a difference in someone’s life.

David has served clients in the Overland Park for over 35 years. Prior to starting in public practice, he worked for the Internal Revenue Service.

David received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas in Accounting in 1978.

David and his wife live in Overland Park and most weekends you can find him on the golf course, or thinking about being on the golf course.

John received his undergraduate degree in 1994 and graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 1997. John has practiced business law and estate planning for over 20 years.

In 2014, John made a distinctive shift professionally by forming Konza Risk Advisors LC to provide clients with a resource to help them identify and manage both personal and professional risk. As a former managing partner of a law firm, John understands the challenges professionals and business owners face, both now and in the future. John brings a unique approach focused on estate planning, total risk management, which specifically includes the proper placement and coverage of various insurance products, most importantly disability, life, and malpractice/ E&O/ professional liability insurance.

John, his wife, and son are all lifelong residents of Overland Park, KS. John and his family are heavily involved in the local “autism” community as well as Special Olympics.

With more than 20 years of experience in financial services, Keith Hanson offers a client-centered perspective on topics such as wealth accumulation, distribution and charitable giving.

Keith is active in the community as a board member of the small business incubator Digital Sandbox as well as volunteering at several local non-profits. Keith received his undergraduate degree in 1998 and continued his education via the University of Saint Mary’s MBA program.

A resident of Overland Park, Keith and his wife have four children. Most weekends, you’ll find him at kids’ activities or pretending to still be able to run a quick 5K.

Linda has worked in Business Consulting/Management/Accounting since graduating from Washington University in St Louis with a BSBA emphasis in Accounting and Software Design. The past 16 years she has worked with small and mid-sized business owners in Lee’s Summit to better understand and manage their business. In her role she performs monthly accounting and reporting, payroll supervision and individual tax returns.

When not at work Linda and her husband enjoy their horse farm, spending time with family and friends and also some fun pickleball.

Matt earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri- Columbia and received his Masters of Science in Accounting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2021. 

He loves helping clients with their accounting, payroll and bookkeeping needs. Before joining the firm, Matt worked as a retail manager which helped him hone a people-focused approach and passion for serving clients. 

Matt lives in Shawnee and in his spare time enjoys collecting records and spending time with his wife and cats. And rooting for the Chiefs, of course!

Tim Lanz co-founded Butler, Lanz & Wagler, L.C. Wealth Management in 1998 and has worked primarily in the operations side of the firm, serving as portfolio manager and chief compliance officer.

Tim attended Kansas State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degrees in International Business, Management and Marketing.

A native of Louisburg, Kansas, Tim currently resides in his hometown with his wife and their two sons.
